About 55 feet South of the North-East corner of the Courthouse building there
are some larger dark “blobs” of rock material in the lighter colored rock. What
are these “blobs” called and how did they get into the lighter colored rock?
Hornblende. The
blobs got into the rock from a pocket of air and then water got in and froze.
