For my project I asked SLCC Redwood Campus students how many siblings they had and how many children they wanted, to see if there was a correlation. Initially I thought there would be a strong positive correlation but it turns out that there was a very weak positive correlation (r value of .2)

I stood outside of five different buildings at different times of the day and on different days of the week, and asked every third student the questions, for a total of six people per building, 30 in total.

After doing this project I realized how time consuming collecting data is, and how much bias can exist in statistics. Some people are bothered by being asked questions and others lie about their answers. Some buildings I had planned on standing outside of had no people going in and out of them and so I had to change my plan and find some other buildings.
